Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

About Us

AESC, Inc. recognizes the historical context and painful impacts of inequality in our country, and we acknowledge that a statement alone will not drive the deep systemic changes necessary for truly equitable outcomes. Knowing this, we will evaluate and further promote our efforts in recruiting underrepresented staff, collaborating with diverse businesses, and aligning our services to better address solutions to discrimination and exclusive practices. In 2022, our DEI Working Group outlined five high-level goals to guide our progress.

1. Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the Workplace.

Increase staff awareness and understanding of company DEI goals, process, and progress.

2. Increase Staff Diversity

Increase staff diversity with regards to race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation (among other groups to which staff self-identify).

3. Broaden DEI Perspectives

Improve our understanding of clients, customers, and partners and their DEI perspectives to better align our delivery of services.

4. Increase Our Partnerships with Diverse Businesses

Increase the number of partners we contract with that are certified diverse or disadvantaged businesses (e.g., women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, small emerging).

5. Serve a Wide Variety of End Use Customers

Identify opportunities and continue to serve a wider variety of end-use customers and communities through our primary business services.

We are committed to a diverse and inclusive staff that is representative of the communities we work with and recognize our DEI work as one of continuous improvement. It is our hope that this statement will help us champion inclusion at our workplace and at the same time respect the efforts of those who have come before us.
