New partnership with Washington DC based nonprofit: AESC to provide energy engineering services for low-income multifamily housing
AESC is partnering with the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU), a government-funded entity that designs and administers programs for energy reduction, greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, and the efficiency improvement of low-income housing.
As an energy consultancy, AESC will provide a full range of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and peak load management services for multi-family buildings including technical and management expertise and product solutions to meet DCSEU objectives. An initial focus will be in the Southeast neighborhoods of Washington D.C.
Among a variety of energy-saving measures, AESC’s will look for optimization opportunities in heating and cooling systems (such as water-cooled chillers, heat rejection systems, and distribution pumps), building automation systems, lighting, and domestic hot water.
More importantly, these services also include an analysis of the electrification potential of major building equipment and the potential to install solar to help buildings become more energy resilient.
