ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interact with clients, utility personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders to assess the technical feasibility of energy projects and programs
  • Perform field inspections of commercial sites to inventory and estimate usage of existing electrical equipment and determine electrical system capacity
  • Conduct pre-design analysis for sizing/resizing existing building electrical system capacity to support electrification, electric vehicle charging, battery storage, and PV systems
  • Research and identify available incentives and grants related to EV charging infrastructure at the local, state, and federal levels
  • Work closely with clients to maximize available incentives and optimize project economics
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, utilities, and municipalities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address project requirements and ensure successful program implementation
  • Support selection of electrical equipment at each site; communicate with vendors to determine equipment costing for each project.

Skills/Qualifications:

We might also consider candidates in the Portland, OR area who would report to our Portland office location. During the discretionary training period, there may be more in-office time, up to 5 days per week. AESC is seeking a Project Manager who will serve as the liaison between the program team and trade professionals/aggregators who develop and implement energy savings projects that contribute to program goals. The Project Manager has responsibility for tracking trade professional/aggregator and their projects’ statuses and will work closely and collaboratively with the entire program team to help ensure the success of all program stakeholders.

This position requires an organized and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills who can develop, manage, organize, and progress forward dozens of projects simultaneously while maintaining seamless communication with inside and outside stakeholders, team members, contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, utilities, city officials and municipalities, and customers. The successful candidate will have at least 4-7 years of accumulative energy efficiency experience (EE), including project management and/or program management. A successful candidate should have the ability to understand and communicate complex EE concepts simply and clearly, provide clarity when it is lacking, maintain detail-orientation while staying cool under pressure, and adapt quickly to address issues effectively.

Salary Range: $85K-$113K (pay reflects 2 labor categories, what is offered will depend on years of experience, education, industry experience, training needed, internal equity, and other benchmarking factors)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Program Manager with all aspects of implementation of the utility program.
  • Train utility program trade professionals and project aggregators on program processes and qualifying incentive projects.
  • Support trade professionals/aggregators through the program enrollment process and use Salesforce to track enrollment status.
  • Schedule and participated in training sessions with program aggregators on tools and program software.
  • Manage trade professionals/aggregators and support them as they develop projects to ensure successful project submittals that comply with program regulations and help meet program goals.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track and report on project status from application submittal through the measure and verification phases.
  • Provide continual communication with professional/aggregator through each phase of the utility incentive process.
  • Serve as liaison between the utility and trade professional/aggregator to provide seamless project application approval and incentives.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team as the project progresses throughout the phases of the utility program.
  • Track and direct program subcontractor efforts to ensure alignment is approach, messaging, and goals.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 4-7 years of project management experience; experience in the utility industry is preferred.
  • 4-7 years of industry experience required. (EE)
  • BA degree within energy related field is highly desired but not required if requirements for applicable experience are met.
  • General knowledge of the utility industry energy efficiency measures.
