Engineering Managers
Antonio Corradini, P.E., Director of Engineering Services
Mr. Corradini is the Director of Engineering Services for AESC; in addition he is the Engineering Manager for our Concord office. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Brescia, Italy where he is licensed as a Professional Engineer. Antonio received his Masters degree in Business Administration from the Rady School of Management at UCSD.
Mr. Corradini worked for 5 years in an automotive components manufacturing plant; first as a process engineer and then as engineering manager. Prior to joining AESC in July 2008, he had an internship at Sempra Utilities in the Strategic Planning Department, then worked as a consultant for Debenham Energy. Antonio is a registered Professional Engineer in California (license # M35654).
Mike Casey, Engineering Manager
Mike Casey is an Engineering Manager in AESC’s Carlsbad office with more than 10 years of experience as an energy consultant with extensive work in market studies, modeling, and analysis of Combined Heat and Power and other distributed energy technologies; development and application of building energy simulation tools (DOE2); and energy utility end-use market analysis and forecasting.
Prior to joining AESC, Mike worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the Indoor Environments Program, leading nationwide studies of Indoor Air Quality and Energy Efficiency in schools and office buildings.
Mr. Casey received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Control Systems and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California San Diego. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and is certified in the International Performance of Measurement and verification Protocol (IPMVP).
Rob Intveld, P.E., Engineering Manager
Mr. Intveld is an Engineering Manager at AESC’s Pasadena office. He has over twenty-four years of experience in the energy field in a variety of capacities including: project management, new mechanical and plumbing system design, and energy efficiency project development.
Mr. Intveld earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Netherlands. He is a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in California (license # M31583), an AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and is LEED accredited.
Program Managers
Briana Rogers Program Manager
Briana Rogers is an Engineer with a broad spectrum of training in fields ranging from missile defense systems to biomedical engineering. Briana provides AESC clients with a variety of technical assistance for programs primarily involving energy efficiency.
Briana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. She is a certified Engineer in Training.
Donald Pratt, Program Manager
Donald Pratt has more than 13 years of experience in the development and management of computer software information systems. At AESC, he develops computer programs in support of energy efficiency, intelligent systems and engineering projects. He is an expert C, C++, Visual Basic, Java and HTML programmer and is proficient in Windows, Unix and VMS environments.
Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive Science, with a concentration in artificial intelligence and software engineering, from the University of California at San Diego. He earned his Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University.
John Clint, Program Manager
Having worked in the energy and transportation industries for more than 16 years, John Clint has assisted many engineering utility and private companies. John provides AESC clients with technical, administrative, and managerial support for energy efficiency-related programs.
Prior to joining AESC, John worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at SAIC and its subsidiary, TransCore. John’s main tasks at SAIC included analysis and research of Fuel Cells, TES systems, Energy Efficiency Technologies, Alternative Energy Systems, and Electric Vehicles. At TransCore, he performed as a Systems Engineer for development of the Dulles Toll Road and the Powhite Parkway Express. John was the lead Systems Engineer on the Crescent City Connections Divisions Toll Road project.
John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems at San Diego State University. He is currently attending the University of California, San Diego in pursuit of a Professional Certificate in Systems Engineering.
Judy Peck, Program Manager
Ms Peck is a Program Manager with AESC and has over ten years of experience in the energy industry. She has worked as a utility employee – implementing energy efficiency incentive programs; and as a lobbyist – promoting energy efficiency incentive programs as prudent public policy. Judy currently works out of AESC’s Concord office in support of Pacific Gas and Electric’s energy efficiency programs, including the Non-Residential Retrofit/Demand Response (NRR-DR) program and the Integrated Energy Audit program.
Judy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master of Arts in Economics.
Karen Leifheit, Project Coordinator
Ms. Leifheit joined AESC in April of 2008 to provide technical and management support for the California Solar Initiative programs. Karen previously worked as an Energy Analyst, reviewing and approving incentive estimates for proposals, energy studies, and energy efficiency projects in 10 states.
Karen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Energy Engineers
Anthony Persad, Administrator
Mr. Persad joined AESC as an Administrator in June 2010, to support the California Solar Initiative Program (CSI) with Southern California Edison (SCE). In that capacity he provides technical assistance evaluating and inspecting CSI applications. In October 2010, Anthony temporarily transitioned to an Onsite Coordinator position. He provided SCE with project management assistance for the Customized Offering Program. His main functions were to serve as a liaison and provide communication and coordination for projects under technical review, as well as to ensure program compliance by monitoring service level agreements.
Mr. Persad earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego. He has six years experience with mid-level project management and four years experience in organizational audits and compliance.
Brandon Henzie,
Engineer
Mr. Henzie is an Engineer with AESC. Brandon provides technical support evaluating and inspecting California Solar Initiative applications.
Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and is a Certified Engineer in Training.
Brian Haines, LEED AP, Engineer
Mr. Haines is an Energy Engineer for AESC. He is primarily responsible for reviewing and verifying energy savings calculations, as well as performing pre and post installation site inspections for the Customized Solutions program for Southern California Edison.
Prior to joining AESC, Mr. Haines worked for Siemens’ Energy Performance Contracting business in California and Australia. His experience with Siemens included performing investment-grade energy audits, identifying energy conservation measures, calculating energy savings, and organizing subcontractor scopes of work and schedules.
While at Siemens, Mr. Haines was also responsible for the Monitoring & Verification of all projects under a performance guarantee in the Northern California area. The energy savings for these projects were reviewed on an annual, sometimes monthly, basis to identify and correct any shortfalls in energy savings. This required extensive use of measuring equipment such as flow meters, data loggers and power meters.
Mr. Haines earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Systems, with a focus on Energy Science & Technology from Stanford University in 2007. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and an Energy Manager in Training (EMIT), as well as a member of the United States Green Building Council and the Association of Energy Engineers.
Dara Salour, Senior Engineer
Dara Salour has more than 15 years experience as an Energy Engineer involved in the design, development, and implementation of renewable energy systems and evaluating engineering solutions in the energy field. Dara has worked on energy efficiency monitoring programs assessing the efficacy of thermal energy storage, lighting retrofit, and variable speed motor technologies. In addition, Dara has evaluated various small commercial facilities for the implementation of boiler and lighting retrofits.
Prior to joining AESC, Dara worked with RCM digesters where he was involved in the development and interconnection of biogas energy projects on livestock farms. He also ran a consulting practice in Colorado that provided engineering design and consulting services to residential and commercial customers in the areas of HVAC and solar thermal design. Early in his career, Dara worked with the California Energy Commission’s Energy Technology Advancement Program, where he focused on the research and development of biogas, wind, and fuel cell technologies.
Dara received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento and his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Davis. Dara has co-authored a number of reports, papers and feasibility studies regarding fluidized bed combustion, biogas technology, and solar energy systems.
Fred Cork, Staff Engineer
Mr. Cork is a Staff Engineer at AESC in our Concord office. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and is a Certified Engineer in Training.
Mr. Cork has over twenty-two years of experience in the energy and oil & gas industries as a senior rotating equipment engineer, project engineer/manager, power plant production engineer and consultant. At AESC Mr. Cork provides technical support to the utility energy efficiency programs.
Mr. Cork has over 7 years experience in the Geothermal Energy industry including a position as the Coordination Manager for an Engineered Geothermal System demonstration project utilizing Hot Dry Rock technology to obtain steam for power production, the first such commercial level project in the United States. He has been a design and project engineer for numerous steam and water piping systems for geothermal power plants worldwide. Prior to Joining AESC, Mr. Cork worked as a senior rotating equipment engineer for a refinery. In this role he specified, coordinated, and documented changes for numerous equipment upgrades to improve efficiency, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
Jared Kruzek, Engineer
Mr. Kruzek joined AESC in September of 2009 as an Associate Engineer. Jared provides technical assistance evaluating and inspecting California Solar Initiative applications.
Jared received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in May 2007, his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in June of 2009, and is a Certified Engineer in Training.
Jeffrey Seto, Engineer
Jeffrey Seto provides technical assistance inspecting and evaluating projects for PG&E’s Non Residential Retrofit – Demand Response program (NRR-DR). He also supports software testing and NRR-DR policy implementation.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
Jess McRaney, Associate Engineer
Mr. McRaney joined AESC as an Associate Engineer in May of 2011. He focuses primarily on reviewing applications and submitted calculations for SCE’s Customized Offering Program.
Mr. McRaney graduated from California Polytechnic University in Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an E.I.T. certificate and is working towards his P.E. license.
Joseph Ling, P.E., Engineer
Mr. Ling joined AESC in June of 2007. He provides technical support to the Standard Performance Contract and other energy efficiency programs.
Joseph received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona in June 2007 and is a licensed Professional Engineer (# M34943) in the state of California.
Keith Valenzuela, P.E., Staff Engineer
With a background in manufacturing engineering, Keith Valenzuela provides AESC with experience in industrial process improvements and data analysis. His primary responsibility is the evaluation of energy efficiency projects.
Prior to joining AESC, Keith worked as a manufacturing engineer at a sheet metal fabrication facility and as an intern for Honeywell Engines, Systems, and Services in Torrance, CA.
Keith earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the California State University at Long Beach. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (# M34714) in the state of California.
Kevin Johnson, Engineer
Mr. Johnson is an Engineer in AESC’s Concord office. Kevin provides technical assistance evaluating and inspecting applications for PG&E’s Non-Residential Retrofit – Demand Response Program (NRR-DR).
Kevin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in May of 2007 from San Diego State University and is a Certified Engineer in Training.
Michael Agbewonou, Engineer
Mr. Agbewonou is an Engineer in AESC’s Concord office, joining in May 2011. He is primarily responsible for supporting PG&E’s Non Residential Retrofit-Demand Response program, reviewing and verifying energy savings calculations and performing pre and post installation site inspections. He also reviews PG&E’s Global Energy Partners 3rd Party Program which involves oil field process and system upgrades and improvements. Typical projects include lighting retrofits, variable speed drive applications, compressed air systems and oil well pumping system upgrades.
Prior to his position with AESC, Mr. Agbewonou worked with Pacific Gas and Electric Company where he conducted energy audits for commercial and industrial facilities and planned for efficiency upgrades. This position required analyzing existing building systems and collecting data on building operation, HVAC, electrical, lighting and controls to determine energy usage and efficiency opportunities. He also performed energy and economic analysis of energy efficiency measures using energy modeling software, spreadsheets and other tools and provided technical training to PG&E’s Energy Service & Sales organization.
Mr. Agbewonou received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and his Master of Science Degree in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology. Mr. Agbewonou also has an Advanced Certificate in Facility Management.
Mitch Greene,
Engineer
Mr. Greene joined AESC in July 2009 and provides technical assistance inspecting and evaluating projects for PG&E’s Non Residential Retrofit – Demand Response program (NRR-DR).
Mitch received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and is a Certified Engineer in Training.
Patricia Casey,
Engineer
Ms. Casey joined AESC in May of 2007. She provides technical assistance evaluating California Solar Initiative projects for Southern California Edison. Before coming to AESC, Patricia performed energy market studies as a consultant, and prior to that, worked as an RF design engineer at General Dynamics on the Titan Centaur Program.
Patricia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Control Systems Engineering in 1986 from the University of California at San Diego.
Peter Lee, Staff Engineer
Peter Lee applies to AESC projects his experience in developing energy management plans for commercial buildings. In addition to a background in HVAC system analysis, he also has worked on a variety of biodiesel related projects.
Peter earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University at Kingston, Ontario. He currently works in the Northern California/Bay Area office providing AESC clients with technical assistance involving energy conservation.
Ty Sales, Analyst
Mr. Sales is an Analyst at AESC. He is currently providing support to Southern California Edison in the administering of the California Solar Initiative program. These support activities include: reviewing applications to ensure program compliance and conducting site inspections to verify that installed systems qualify.
Prior to joining AESC, he was employed by the United States Navy as a Senior Chief Electrician's Mate performing the job of a nuclear plant operator and supervisor for 21 years.
Ty received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Science Technology: Nuclear Engineering Technology, from Thomas Edison State College of Trenton, New Jersey.
Software Engineers
Cody Riddar, Senior Software Engineer
Cody Riddar joined AESC early in 2008 with a focus on bringing existing pc-based energy efficiency applications to the web.
He has eight years of application development and systems analysis experience, most recently at his own startup in the mobile web services industry. Having worked primarily in small to medium sized businesses, he has performed many responsibilities across the system development life cycle; but his programming strengths reside in database, web, and UI development.
Cody received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Information Systems from San Diego State University. He has also recently completed training as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Scrum is a form of Adaptive Project Management used by companies like Google, Microsoft, and IBM to manage the complexities of software development.
Eliseo Sandoval, Senior Software Engineer
Eliseo Sandoval has more than five years of experience in the development and management of computer software information systems. At AESC, he develops computer programs that use intelligent software agents to control and schedule distributed energy generation. He is an expert in Java, C, C++, and Visual Basic, and is proficient in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
Eliseo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University.
Jefferson Orr, Software Engineer
Jeff is a Software Engineer with over 10 years of combined development and support experience in distributed software systems on a wide variety of platforms. He provides programming support for tools used in the implementation of energy efficiency programs.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Chico State University and is a Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA).
Mark Q. Tran, Software Engineer
Mark Tran has more than six years of experience in the development of computer software information systems. At AESC, he develops computer programs in support of energy efficiency, intelligent systems and engineering projects. He is an experienced Visual Basic, .Net, ASP .Net, Access Database and Java programmer and is proficient in the Windows environment. He also provides client technical support in end-use energy efficiency.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from Coleman College. He is currently attending San Diego State University in pursuit of a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science.
Robert Cobb, Software Engineer
Mr. Cobb joins AESC with over 7 years of experience in the development and management of computer information systems. He has a broad experience in software development, automated regression testing, data warehousing, reporting tools, and database development.
Robert received his Masters degree in Information Systems Management at Keller Graduate School of Management in 2007 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems at DeVry in 2001.
Administration
Dorothy Campbell, Administrator
As an AESC administrator, Dorothy Campbell is in charge of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. She prepares invoices, processes expense forms, and handles all receipts and disbursements. Dorothy also provides other general administrative support as needed.
Jenny Perez, Project Administrator
As an AESC Project Administrator, Jenny Perez provides administrative and clerical support for numerous projects. These activities include data and file management, maintaining status updates and reports, project set-ups, project reviews, and site inspections.
Kim Gibson, Administrative Assistant
As an AESC administrative assistant, Kim provides administrative support to all four AESC offices, including procurement and travel arrangements. She provides assistance with invoicing, equipment tracking, and other logistical support functions. In addition, Kim is the chairperson of the AESC Safety Committee.
Mary E. Kruse, Business Manager
As Business Manager, Mary Kruse directs AESC administrative staff and oversees activities including payroll, human resources, employee benefits, and coordination of company events. In addition, she oversees all accounting functions and provides general administrative support.
